Two Poisoned Horses Return To Rancho Santa Fe Farm

Posted: Updated:

Two horses poisoned on a Rancho Santa Fe farm have been released from a Bonsall Equine Hospital, but a third is still in critical condition.

The owners of Rockridge Farm say 23 horses became sick, after someone fed them a poisonous concoction of oleander leaves mixed with food Wednesday night.

The leaves can cause heart attacks and even death in horses.

The owners are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in the case.

Anyone with any information is urged to come forward. The sheriff's department and animal services is investigating the case.
