OCEANSIDE, Calif. (CBS 8) -- A teacher in Oceanside is facing two rape charges after being arrested for allegedly having sex with a student.
Corey Hogue, 37, is accused of having sex with a now-17-year-old student at Oceanside High School. The relationship with the girl reportedly started when she was 15 years old.
According to police, the encounters occurred at Hogue’s home, where he lives with his wife and kids.
Hogue was arrested as he made his way to the victim’s home Thursday.
The charges against Hogue, who taught physical education and health and coached the boys varsity basketball team, have shocked students.
Hogue is on administrative leave and is being held on $200,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday.
