NFL blackout deadline extended for Chargers-Chiefs game

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) - The National Football League has given the Chargers another 24 hours to sell enough tickets to avoid a local television blackout for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The extension gives the Chargers until 1:05 p.m. PT Saturday to sell 1,350 tickets.

The last regular season game to be blacked out locally was in 2004 against the New Orleans Saints.

For ticket purchases, go to the Chargers' ticket office at Gate C at Qualcomm Stadium, or go to www.chargers.com or TicketMaster at 1-(800)-745-3000.
