About Evan Noorani

Evan Noorani joined the CBS News 8 team in September of 2020 as a morning and mid-day reporter and weather anchor and as of January 2022 Evan became the meteorologist for CBS 8 Mornings from 4:30a-9a, CBS 8 Live @ 11 and CBS 8 Live @ Noon

He arrived in San Diego after three years at KREM 2 in Spokane, Washington where he gained experience forecasting severe weather and a love for telling stories.

Evan is a Southern California native, having grown up in Ventura County and graduating with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and a double major in Political Science from Chapman University. He's now pursuing his certification as a broadcast meteorologist through Mississippi State University. Before arriving in San Diego, Evan also worked as a reporter for Hawthorne Community Television, and an intern at FOX 11 Los Angeles and PBS SoCal.

Since he was a child, he has maintained a love for boosting voices and opinions that too often go unheard. He's a firm believer that by sharing perspective, educating people, and doing so with positivity and gratitude, that change can be made in a community. Outside of work, Evan enjoys cooking a new meal, binging the latest TV shows, reading on the beach, and trying out local restaurants. Feel free to reach out to him and say hello through social media or by emailing him at enoorani@kfmb.com
