Welcome to Adopt 8

Each week News 8 News’s Marcella Lee introduces you to local children waiting to be adopted. You can watch her Adopt 8 stories Weekdays and Sundays at 5 pm. Since this project began, more than 150 children have been adopted through Adopt 8.

All children featured on Adopt 8 are available for adoption through San Diego County. There are hundreds of other foster children of all ages who are also waiting for “forever” families. In most cases adoption fees are waived and many of the children are eligible for an adoption subsidy. You are not required to be married, own a home, or adopt a child of your same race.
