STUDENTS:
- Understand
violence is learned.
- If
you see violence around you, realize it's not normal, get help
so you don't model that behavior.
- Talk
to an adult you trust.
- If
you get angry easily, talk to your parents or counselor.
- Understand
you won't get along with everyone, but work on accepting differences.
PARENTS:
- Understand
violence is learned, never model physically or verbally abusive
behavior.
- Get
professional help if needed.
- If
your child shows signs of violence, get professional help.
- Help
your child understand and accept people's differences.
- Model
tolerance and acceptance.
SCHOOLS:
- Make
sure counselors are available to students for "one-on-one"
guidance.
- Create
activities to foster diversity and acceptance.
