Pacific Beach surf shop closes its doors after 30 years in business

After 30 years in business, a landmark Pacific Beach surf shop is closing its doors.

Tuesday is scheduled to be Star Surfing Company's last day of business.

The Mission Boulevard surf shop is closing partly due to the poor economy and partly because of owner Glenn Paculba's semi-retirement.

Paculba opened the store in 1979.
