CBS 8 will tape your two minute audition, then fast forward it to the casting directors. Auditions start at 8am, RAIN OR SHINE. Please arrive early. Auditions will be filmed indoors.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Contestants must be 21 years or older at the time of the application.
• Contestants must be a US citizen and living in the United States.
• Contestants must be in excellent physical and mental health.
• Contestants must bring a completed application form and signed release and waiver form.
• Be prepared to record a 2-minute on-camera video on why you should be on Survivor! There are no re-takes. Be creative, have fun, you can even bring your own props! CBS 8 will tape your audition.
• If you are submitting your own personal tape it is a 3 minute maximum time. In this open audition you have a 2 minute maximum time.
• Space is limited to approximately 400 auditionees, so get there early to get a spot. Auditions will start at 8am, rain or shine.

CBS will contact you if you have been chosen for the next round of interviews.

Approximately 800 applicants will be invited by the producers to interview sometime in March 2008.

Approximately 48 semi-finalists will be invited to interview sometime in Los Angeles in April 2008.

Approximately 16 finalists will be selected to participate in Survivor 17. Filming will occur sometime between late June and August 2008. (or as otherwise determined by the producers) at a remote location to be announced.
