The calendar still says March, but the Chargers are back in action.
Monday marked the first day of off-season conditioning drills at Chargers Park. Shawne Merriman was not there, but says, "I feel great and look amazing."
These are voluntary sessions, but nearly 100 percent of the players will take part. Philip Rivers says it's good to be back.
"You build a lot of camaraderie this time of year. You've got a little over a month until the first mini-camp. All the guys want to build on what we've got going here. The past couple of years we fell short, but certainly a lot to build on," Rivers said.
The Chargers also announced their pre-season schedule. They will have home games against the Seahawks and 49ers, and road games in Atlanta and Arizona.
