Suspect in Fatal Stabbing to Be Arraigned Tuesday

The name of a man accused of stabbing and killing a woman in a mall parking lot Friday has been released by authorities.

Eric Andreasen, 37, is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday. Andreasen, who lives in Oceanside, is accused of stabbing Katherine Parker, 54, outside the Hallmark and Toys-R-Us stores around 4 p.m. Friday.

According to police, Andreasen waited for police to arrive after the stabbing.

Parker, who was vacationing from Northern California, died after being airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital.

Oceanside police are still trying to determine a motive.
