Water Deliveries Reduced To San Diego Water Authority

Posted: Updated:

For the first time since 1992, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is reducing water deliveries to the San Diego County Water Authority.

Beginning July 1 water supply deliveries will be reduced by 13 percent. This means residents and businesses will face mandatory water use restrictions and rate hikes up to 20 percent.

Helix Water District will impose a rate increase.

Households would pay around $24 more dollars per bill. However, they will offer less increases to customers who conserve.
