Health Officials Say Fewer Affected by Flu This Season

Posted: Updated:
It has been a low-key flu season in San Diego, and county officials said it's because of the effectiveness of this year's flu vaccine.

The County Public Health Services Office said nearly 800 people tested positive for flu last season between October 6 and April 11.

Last season, more than 1,800 people were diagnosed during that same period.

Flu season generally lasts from October through May.
