San Diego County sheriff's and coroner's officials say the man was killed at about 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Benjamin Lobato Huante, 49, of Highland in San Bernardino County, died at the scene, according to the county coroner's Website.
He worked for Integrated Growers Service of Escondido, said Dean Fryer, a spokesman for the California Department of Industrial Relations' Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
