Fire Races Through Logan Heights Duplex

Posted: Updated:
Two families are displaced Tuesday morning after a fire ripped through their duplex in Logan Heights.

The fire was reported around 3:23 a.m. at a home in the 2900 block of Imperial Avenue.

Authorities said 14 people were inside at the time, with four adults and 10 children.

It took firefighters less than an hour to knock down the blaze. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire, but they said it appears to be an electrical fire that started behind the stove in the kitchen.

Damage was estimated at more than $300,000.
