Fire Rips Through Apartment In Normal Heights

Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that ripped through a second story apartment in Normal Heights Saturday morning.

Flames broke out just before 7:00 a.m. in the 4500 block of 36th Street. Firefighters say the fire started in the bedroom.

No one was home at the time.

Some other units also suffered minor water and smoke damage.
