Rain, Wind Expected to Continue on Sunday

Posted: Updated:
Forecasters said temperatures will remain well below normal in the San Diego area this weekend, with a deep marine level keeping things cool and cloudy near the coast.

Light rain was falling amid fog early this morning, and the National Weather Service called for a day that will feel more like spring than summer. Temperatures at the beaches are set to top out in the low 60s, while inland highs are forecast in the mid 60s.

Morning fog and drizzle is expected to break at the coast and in the valleys by afternoon, but will return overnight and Sunday morning, at least in patches.

San Diego County mountains started the day sunny, but a partly cloudy skies are forecast by this afternoon. Mountain highs are forecast to be in the low 80s, before dropping into 50s overnight.

To find a bit of summer, locals will have to head to the desert, where sunshine and temperatures in the high 90s are expected.
