Posted: Updated:
A man whose decomposing body was found off the coast of Mission Bay was still unidentified today, according to the coroner's office.

Two spear fishermen discovered the body June 3. His legs were submerged in the sand in an underwater pocket of a jetty, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

Investigators believe the body had been in the water one to two weeks.

The man was most likely white, around 30 years old and 5 feet 9 inches, according to the Medical Examiner's Office, which has not said how the man died.

He was wearing size 32 pants, boxer shorts, a button-up shirt, black size 9 Avia ARC athletic shoes with bright yellow writing, and three pairs of dark socks.

Anyone with information on the man's identity was asked to call the Medical Examiner's Office at (858) 694-2905.
