Surrogate Makes Parker, Broderick Parents Again

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A publicist for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick says a woman carrying twins for the couple has given birth to healthy girls.

Publicist Simon Halls says the girls were born Monday afternoon at an Ohio hospital. He would not specify the hospital or city.

Halls says that Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 pounds and 11 ounces, and that Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds.

Parker, the 44-year-old star of the TV show and film "Sex and the City," and Broderick, her 47-year-old husband and fellow actor, had confirmed they were expecting twin daughters by a surrogate.

They were unable to conceive since Parker gave birth to a son who is now 6.
