Michael Jackson Investigation Focuses on Doctors, Medications

Los Angeles police want to talk to a second person in connection to Michael Jackson's death, according to a celebrity Web site with sources close to the investigation.

TMZ says detectives want to interview Dr. Tohme K. Tohme "about an `alleged indirect connection' between prescription drugs and Jackson's passing."

Tohme is described as a longtime friend of Jackson. He was quoted by TMZ as saying "I don't have anything to do with his medication or health.

"This is b.s. -- why should I talk to police?" Tohme told TMZ, the Web site reports.

Tohme is a Lebanese doctor who is not licensed to practice in the United States, but treated Jackson during his post-trial exile in Bahrain and became a trusted Jackson friend and advisor.

Tohme was identified by the Los Angeles Times as a business advisor and onetime manager to Jackson, and played a critical role in arranging emergency financing to stave off foreclosure of Jackson's Neverland Ranch property near Santa Maria last spring.

He has denied to tabloid news agencies that he was present at Jackson's rented house in Holmby Hills in the hours leading up to Jackson's death.
