Magnitude 4.9 quake strikes Baja California

A swarm of earthquakes struck Baja California in Mexico Saturday, but caused no damage or injuries in San Diego.

A magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck at 3:55 p.m. about 100 miles east of Tijuana, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The San Diego Police and the San Diego County Sheriff's departments did not receive any 911 calls related to the quake.

Several other aftershocks occurred, including a magnitude 3.0 temblor at 10:05 p.m., also about 103 miles east of Tijuana.
