San Diegans Can Weigh In On State's High Speed Train Project

Posted: Updated:

The state wants to hear what the public thinks about a proposal to add bullet trains along the California coast.

The bullet trains will zip up and down the state at 200 miles per hour from Sacramento to San Diego.

Most people, at the first in a series of meetings in La Jolla Tuesday, say they support the project, but expressed concerns about proposed routes and the impact on the environment.

San Diego residents still have a chance to sound off on the proposed routes for California's $40 billion high-speed train network.

The hearings will be held:

3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Ramada Limited Hotel at the San Diego Airport
1403 Rosecrans Street, near Shelter Island

Thursday, October 15, 2009
