Midway-area pet store robbed; police suspect serial robber

Police are searching for a serial robber who held up a pet store at gunpoint in Point Loma Heights Thursday night.

The gunman robbed Pet People Inc., 3625 Midway Drive, around 7 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

No one was injured in the robbery.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a plastic bag, Stafford said, adding that the case is part of a series of robberies. No details about the other robberies were immediately released.

Police described the robber as Asian, about 35 to 40 years old and around 5 feet 8, last seen wearing a dark blue baseball cap, dark jacket and blue jeans.

No one was injured in the robbery.
