Scripps Ranch residents still recovering 6 years after Cedar Fire

Posted: Updated:
Sunday marked the six-year anniversary of the 2003 Cedar Fire, which burned more than 280,000 acres of land and killed 15 people.

The Cedar Fire, which destroyed 2,232 homes, is the largest fire in recorded California history.

Residents who lived in Scripps Ranch at the time said their community has recovered.

The Cedar Fire was started by a West Covina man when he became lost while hunting and started a fire to signal rescuers.
