A registered sex offender accused of sexually assaulting two women in July and October is in police custody Tuesday.

According to police, George Moreland, 46, lured women back to his Rancho San Diego home by asking them to clean his house.

When they got there, he sexually assaulted them.

Both of the victims reported the crimes to police, but were not able to give detectives the exact address.

"Both of them live in Mexico, weren't familiar with the area,” said Chula Vista Police Capt. Gary Wedge. “But we were able to drive with the victims into the general vicinity and they couldn't point, pinpoint a specific house but they gave us an idea where it was at."

Police said Moreland’s house matched both victims’ descriptions. They found it after taking a look at all of the registered sex offenders in the area.

Moreland is being held on $325,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.
