SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) - Thousands of people are resting their tired legs and feet today after the breast cancer 3-day.
On Sunday, more than 3,800 people made their way through Pacific Beach, Mission Bay, Old Town and Balboa Park before reaching the finish line at Petco Park.
For News 8's Barbara-Lee Edwards and everyone else, crossing the finish line after walking 60 miles was truly a special moment.
During the 3-day closing ceremonies, the crowd took a moment to remember the brave people who valiantly fought breast cancer to the end, and those who survived the battle.
"It's worth every step and every little blister and every pain because you know what, we can walk and raise awareness for this great cause," a walker said.
This year's event raised about $9.5 million in San Diego alone. Thank you for your support.
