SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CNS) - The body of a 48-year-old man was found on a sidewalk today across the street from a temporary winter shelter in Sherman Heights, but San Diego police officials have ruled out foul play.
The body of Steven Alan Andrade was discovered at 6:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Island Avenue, near 15th Street, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
An autopsy has not been scheduled, but is expected to help determine the exact date and time of Andrade's death.
A transient camp is located near where the body was found but investigators do not know if Andrade, who was unemployed, also was homeless, a Medical Examiner's Office investigator said.
