Mayor Sanders delivered his State of the City address Wednesday night, with the focus of the speech on the city's finances.
The speech comes a month after the city council approved mid-year spending cuts to close a $179 million budget deficit. The plan left about 200 city workers without jobs and had a broad impact on services, including public safety.
It was the second time the city slashed its spending last year.
