Reward offered for information leading to arrest of 'Geezer Bandit'

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – A $16,000 reward is being offered to find the so-called "Geezer Bandit."

The FBI says a frail, elderly man who wore a white hooded sweat shirt and white ball cap, gave a clerk a note demanding money and pulled a handgun Wednesday at San Diego National Bank. He left with an unspecified amount of cash.

The man is also suspected of hitting five other banks in Santee, La Jolla, Carmel Valley and Rancho Santa Fe between August and September 2009.

Anyone with information should call the FBI's robbery division at (858)565-1255.

Law enforcement officials are offering $16,000 in rewards for information that leads to his arrest and conviction.
