SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) - San Carlos neighbors came to the rescue Tuesday after a woman was run over by her own car.

It happened early Tuesday in the 6000 block of Golfcrest Drive. Police say a 42-year-old caregiver was trying to load an elderly woman into the car, but she forgot to put it in park or set the parking brake.

The car rolled backwards, pinning her underneath the back wheels.

A neighbor who was driving by heard the woman's cries for help, stopped and he and another person lifted the car off of her.

She was taken to Sharp Hospital with a broken pelvis.
