Controlled burns designed to stop uncontrolled ones

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) - If you saw smoke coming out of the East County today, don't worry.

It was all part of a series of controlled burns that will last for the next several weeks.

Cal Fire is performing the burns every Thursday,
