SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man who runs an Allied Gardens karate school was behind bars on suspicion of repeatedly molesting a 13-year-old boy who took classes from him.
Eric Dylan Protas, 38, of La Mesa was arrested Thursday morning and booked into county jail on 21 allegations of sodomy and oral copulation with a minor, according to La Mesa police Sgt. Angela DeSarro.
Protas, owner and operator of Allied Gardens School of Martial Arts on Waring Road, is accused of sexually assaulting the boy over a year-long period, the sergeant said.
The suspect was being held on $1 million bail, with arraignment scheduled for Monday afternoon.
