FALLBROOK (CNS) - Firefighters made quick work of a brush fire in the Fallbrook area Tuesday, stopping the burn at about a quarter of an acre, authorities said.
The non-injury fire in the 100 block of Ranger Road, just east of East Mission Road, was reported shortly before 9 a.m., according to Cal Fire and the North County Fire Protection District.
Crews had the blaze mostly out by 9:20 a.m., Cal Fire Battalion Chief Nick Schuler said.
Smoke was visible to commuters on Interstate 15 but no traffic delays were caused, the California Highway Patrol reported.
