Padres not concerned about 4-game losing streak

For three straight games this weekend, the Padres couldn't get it done.

Bud Black said, "We got shutdown. It was a team wide little funk this weekend."

Add that to the team funk on Thursday and the Padres are riding their first 4-game losing streak of the season.

Clayton Richard added, "it's not a step back at all. We're gonna learn from the mistakes we made we lost a few games. We're gonna push forward. We're more than excited to play our next series, and we're gonna get after it."

The Padres committed four errors in Sunday's game - first time that's happened in seven years.  It prompted the word aberration more than once after the game.

Black: "I think its an aberration. Going into this game we led the National League in fewest errors."

Hundley: "We're not gonna make the abortion the rule. We play great baseball for 150 days or whatever it's been, we're gonna go compete and try to win the series in Arizona. We're definitely not gonna look too much into it, but know we didn't play the type of baseball we want to and we're gonna make that adjustment."

The Padres swept the Diamondbacks just last week, but this time they're in Arizona where they have lost two series this year.

Nick Hundley: "It will definitely be a good challenge for us."

It's 3-games in Arizona before the Padres head back to San Diego for a 10-game home stand.
