POWAY (CNS) - Two power outages left hundreds of homes and businesses in Poway and Santee without electricity Saturday.
The first outage began at 7:19 a.m. and left 106 San Diego Gas & Electric customers without power in the Santee and Carlton Hills area.
Power there was expected to be restored by 3 p.m., according to the utility.
The second outage in Poway began at 10:56 a.m. and left 249 customers without power. Power was expected to be restored by noon, SDG&E said.
Both outages were caused by an apparent problem with an underground electrical system, according to the SDG&E website.
The National Weather Service reported temperatures would reach 80 in both areas Saturday.
Authorities said no defective traffic signals were reported in either city.
