Solana Beach (CNS) - A sketch of a man who grabbed a woman from behind and held a knife to her neck in an elevator at her Solana Beach apartment complex was released by sheriff's deputies Saturday.

The attack happened just after midnight Wednesday when the woman walked into an elevator in her apartment complex at 877 Stevens Avenue, according to San Diego county sheriff's detective Jeff Schmidt.

A man in the elevator grabbed the woman from behind, held a knife to her neck and threatened to kill her if she made noise, Schmidt said.

The woman started screaming and fought with the man until she broke free, escaping with only minor injuries, Schmidt said.

The man is described as Hispanic, light-skinned, 16-19 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a normal build.
