California to get another $900M from feds for rail

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) – California is getting another $902 million in federal funding to advance the design and construction of a high-speed rail system.

It will stretch 800 miles, from Sacramento to San Diego.

Voters approved nearly $10 billion in bonds for high-speed rail service in 2008.
