SAN DIEGO (AP) - The San Diego Chargers have signed linebacker David Herron and waived outside linebacker Cyril Obiozor.

Herron entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie with the Minnesota Vikings in 2007. He played in 10 games for Kansas City last year, making 11 special teams tackles.

Herron has 20 career special teams tackles in 26 NFL games. He made eight tackles on defense for the Vikings in 2008 when he started three games.
