TIJUANA, Mexico (AP) - Mexican police have arrested an American day care operator wanted in San Diego on child molestation charges.
Baja California state police officer Rodolfo Luna says an anonymous tip led to Anna Kaczmarczyk's arrest at a Tijuana apartment.
Luna said San Diego police told Mexican authorities last year that Kaczmarczyk might be in the border city.
U.S. authorities began investigating Kaczmarczyk and her husband in September 2007 after the parents of a 2-year-old girl who attended her day care brought their child to a hospital. The girl's father had noticed blood in the girl's diaper the night before.
Kaczmarczyk's husband, Mark, was arrested in 2009 in Taiwan and extradited to San Diego.
