Hot start to November in San Diego

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - It's going to be hotter this week in San Diego County, according to the National Weather Service.

"We're going to be in very warm weather, an offshore flow," said Jamie Moker of the NWS. "We're going to have temperatures around 85-90 degrees depending on where you are. If you're in the foothills it will be closer to 90."

The warm-up will begin Monday, with temperatures 10 degrees higher than Monday, when the mercury topped out in the high 60s, Moker said.

He said the heat wave will peak Wednesday, when the high at Lindbergh Field could reach 88 degrees.

The weather will include "ample sunshine" and low humidity, according to Moker.

He said the forecast calls for winds to gust around 50 mph Tuesday and Wednesday mornings in the canyons and mountain passes.

A cooling trend will begin on Thursday, he said.
