Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Adopt 8 kids celebrated with the Chargers at their game on Sunday, October 31 at the Q, where the "Join the Team" 2011 calendar was unveiled.

Workers from San Diego County Adoptions handed out thousands of the limited edition calendars to Chargers fans at the game.

The calendar features 21 children waiting to find permanent homes and features Philip Rivers and 11-year-old Ramzi on the cover.

Chargers players volunteered their time over the summer to take part in the photo shoot with local photographer Sandy Huffacker.

It's the fourth year in a row that the Chargers have teamed up with San Diego County Adoptions to create a calendar featuring players and Adopt 8 kids.

In this video report, News 8's Marcella Lee and photojournalist Ann Marie Spaulding give you an exclusive look behind the scenes, including the players explaining their support of adoption awareness.

At any given time in San Diego County, there are 80 to 100 kids in need of a permanent home.

Calendar distribution locations will be listed on the Adopt 8 page, when they are available.
