LAKESIDE (CNS) - A 22-year-old part-time assistant swimming coach at El Capitan High School was in custody Friday for allegedly having sexual contact with a student.
Ryan Campbell Stevens was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Thursday and booked into San Diego Central Jail on $100,000 bail, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Justin White.
He was booked on suspicion of oral copulation with a minor by means of force or fear, White said.
The alleged victim was an El Capitan student who said the assault took place at an off-campus, non-school function on Monday afternoon, White said.
The alleged victim said some students from the school had been recruited for the activity, White said, without elaboration.
Stevens was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon, according to jail records.
