Like the thousands of other like-minded San Diegans, it's the story of another individual ready to blister up and struggle through a 60-mile weekend waltz to help cure - once and for all - breast cancer in our lifetime.
More than 12,000 showing up for the Race For the Cure! I saw many people I know; many that had stories of breast cancer survivorship (either themselves or those close to them) and many who will be walking with me (and everyone else) in a couple of weeks for the 3-Day. Although the weather is starting out this week a little on the wet side, it was PERFECT for yesterday's Balboa Park event. Everyone was so well rested with the extra hour of sleep, and at 7am everyone seemed wide awake and READY to go. Let's hope that's how it is on the 19th, right?
Thanks to everyone that showed up this weekend, and raced (or walked) for the cure.
