SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Plumes of smoke will rise over eastern San Diego County at times this week as Cal Fire personnel burn piles of shorn brush as part of a routine vegetation-management project.
The controlled fires are scheduled for today and Wednesday, starting about 10 a.m. and ending in the mid-afternoon both days, according to the state agency.
Crews will set and monitor the blazes in the Corte Madera Ranch area, south of Pine Valley, Cal Fire spokesman Nick Schuler said.
