SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Thousands will line the streets of downtown San Diego Thursday to salute the nation's veterans during the 24th annual Veterans Day Parade.
This year's parade pays special tribute to the men and women who served in the military during the Cold War.
The four grand marshals are retired Air Force Col. Clark Kholos, retired Navy Cmdr. Eddie Murphy, retired Navy JOCM Joe Ciokon and retired Navy PHCM Richard P. Crowe. All served during milestone incidents of the Cold War.
Honorary grand marshals include all veterans that served during the Cold War from Sept. 2, 1945 to Dec. 26, 1991, according to organizers.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. at the corner of Cedar Street and Pacific Highway.
