SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two men accused of robbing a pair of 7-Eleven convenience stores in Rolando within minutes of each other were arrested early Wednesday, shortly after the second holdup, police said.

The men - identified as Jahaziel Sanchez and Hagher Tesfai - allegedly held up the first store at 6571 El Cajon Blvd. about midnight, taking beer and cash at gunpoint, according to San Diego police.

Roughly five minutes later, they robbed the 7-Eleven at 6991 El Cajon Blvd., again taking beer and cash at gunpoint, SDPD Officer Dino Delimitros alleged.

While fleeing the second store, one of the bandits pistol-whipped and robbed a woman in the parking lot, he said.

The suspects were arrested a short time later a few blocks away, when officers spotted the getaway vehicle, Delimitros said, adding that the gun and stolen items were recovered.
