Like the thousands of other like-minded San Diegans, it's the story of another individual ready to blister up and struggle through a 60-mile weekend waltz to help cure - once and for all - breast cancer in our lifetime.
Reading the Komen 3-Day forums, which are available only to participants, I'm finding that everyone's spirits remain high despite the rain in the forecast for Saturday. The timing of that rain is yet to be exact, but although Saturday looks to be wet everyone is still in a great mood - and anxious to get this thing going.
I learned this morning that a sign I saw, for LaNor Grundmyer, was posted as she passed away from breast cancer this week. She went quickly, so I'm told, but here's another person to be walking for. I'll make sure her name is written on the big banner at the start of everything - and rain or not, we'll have fun this weekend.
I'll have lots of posts and hopefully some photos by tomorrow evening. See you there in the morning!
