    U.S. authorities said Friday that they seized tons of marijuana in connection with a cross-border tunnel that was equipped with a rail car. 
    U.S. authorities said Friday that they seized tons of marijuana in connection with a cross-border tunnel that was equipped with a rail car — the second discovery of a major underground drug passage in San Diego this month. 

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) - The half mile drug tunnel that connected two warehouses here in San Diego with a home in Tijuana was discovered Thursday.

The Thanksgiving Day find led to at least nine arrests and a seizure of more than 20 tons of marijuana.

    SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - At least two people were taken to area hospitals after a dispute between neighbors in Chula Vista led to gunfire. Chula Vista Police Department officers responded to the incident near Monterey Avene and E. J Street. in Chula Vista at around 10:28 p.m. One victim was taken to UCSD Medical Center and another was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital. Check back for updates on this breaking news story.
