Puppy found in dumpster with ears cut off being cared for at loving foster home

Posted: Updated:

The puppy found in a Mission Valley dumpster with his ears cut off has found a loving foster home.  "Sunny" is staying at the La Jolla home of Candy Schumann, founder and executive director of Spay Neuter Action Project of San Diego.

She will care for the one-month-old lab-shepherd puppy until he is healed, socialized and ready for adoption. Sunny has had successful surgery on his ears.

Schumann says Sunny is doing well and he is feeling better.

As soon as Sunny is up for adoption the information will be posted on the San Diego Animal Control web site.
