Man admits selling Ecstasy to woman who ODed, died

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (AP) — A man who sold Ecstasy to a 21-year-old woman who overdosed and died has pleaded guilty to federal drug charges.

Prosecutors say 24-year-old Marvin Bada admitted Friday to distributing Ecstasy, or MDMA, resulting in a death.

The San Diego County medical examiner's office says the victim died of Ecstasy toxicity and no other factors contributed to her April 2009 death.

He faces up to 20 years in federal prison when he is sentenced March 21.

Authorities say the charges stemmed from a seven-month investigation of Bada.
