New California laws going into effect in 2011

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) - Starting Saturday, there will be a host of new laws going into effect here in California.

If you're caught with less than one ounce of marijuana, police will now only give you a $100 citation, instead of arresting you.

Donut shops and bakeries will no longer be able to use trans fats in their food.

All restaurants with 20 or more locations need to have the calories posted on the dining room menu boards

It will also be illegal to misrepresent yourself as someone else on Facebook. Anyone found guilty of doing that could face up to a year in jail.
